Multiple Charges on Credit CardUpdated 3 years ago

Fear Naut! Southern Tide is happy to clarify the multiple charges on your credit card. Below are some common reasons you would have multiple charges on your bank statement.

Credit Card Authorization
Normally, it takes the bank 1-4 days to remove the authorization from the account. Common reasons this happens are Incorrect CVV, Incorrect Postal Code/Zip Codes or Bank Fraud Filter.

The transaction is attempted when the information is submitted, and gets put in as an authorization regardless if the information was correct. When it goes to process the charge, it will see there was no successful transaction, and those funds will be available again and the authorization will reverse. To clarify, the charge did not actually withdraw any funds, what you are seeing on your statement is the intent to withdraw funds.

Order Adjustments

If your order was adjusted for any reason, you will see a separate transaction for the refunded amount.

If you are still unsure about multiple charges on your credit card, please give Customer Service a call toll-free at 1-855-890-8334 or email us.
